22 Aug #Throwback Thursday – Áine’s puts Longford fashion in Vogue

Summer 2019 proved that Longford is the place to be. The county hit centre stage for all the right reasons; Ireland’s largest tourist attraction Centre Parcs launched, and Love Island starlet Maura Higgins threw Longford into the limelight. Who could have ever imagined that all this attention could lead fashion royalty British Vogue to our door??

In case you missed it, we thought we should share with you again. Here’s what Vogue had to say about getting your fashion fix in Longford with a trip to Áine’s:

“While admittedly Longford isn’t the fashion capital of Ireland, there are still some nice places to shop for quality separates – Áine’s Boutique being one of them. It’s a one stop shop for key wardrobe staples, occasion wear and underwear (its Lingerie Lounge takes over an entire floor). My twin sister Sinéad (one of the most fashionable people I know) likes Áine’s because: “It mixes boutique fashion with the high street, offering labels like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and French Connection. And it’s a good spot to shop for jeans and caters to a mix of age groups. The only caveat: It can be a bit pricey so prepare to break the budget.” For those wondering, the Irish name Áine is pronounced On-Ya means “radiance” and “beauty”. How fitting!”

We are so delighted, that even a month later we simply can’t wipe the smug look off our face!  After all, it’s not everyday Vogue come to town?! We are as proud as punch and delighted to share the feature with so many other great local businesses. Here’s the link to read the full editorial.
